The PETSCII version is done with Marq's PETSCII editor that allows a reference image. The charset version is done with an aim of tracing the original by hand. The original was a pencil sketch (pretty bad one indeed) that was used merely to get the head there. The aim was to make it look ‘like glass’ which turned out into this (mess).
