The following was quoted from Carrion's blog:

This one is kind of different from my other pics. It’s mainly because I really wanted to try a “painting” technique rather than pixeling. What I did was that after sketching the outlines i decided to simply paint (using mouse) spontainously and dont make any pixel by pixel precise touching. The first impresion of the result is rather obvious. The pic style looks more or less like Vetos style (at least I see it this way). I dont mind if you think so. Veto style is unbeatable but it has one adventage IMO. Avoidng dithering and just putting “random” lines you actually dont worry for the converter errors. Obviously this technique is good for NUFLI where PAL effect on TV set adds some blur and make the whole pic feel more like painted. I have to admit though that I havent seen it on real machine yet.

Some facts:
1. It’s half copy – I’ll post original soon when I find time to. FYI the original is taken from an old painting that my grandma has in her living room. :)
2. It really took long time to finish trees – no good green colors on c64 is the main couse
3. In overall it took few days to fnish
4. some motives from Turrican (the robot) or The Icredibles – are not ntentional :)
5. No fixes were made after converting to NUFLI. IT was also one of my requirements for this pic: to see how this style works if you dont plan to use NUFLI Editor later.
6. I dont like the mountains shading but because of lack of grey shades I decided to make unrealistic in this case dithering – you judge the result

All in all – it was fun to experiment once more with NUFLI and I know the pic has some flaws here and there. I think I paint some more pics like this and Veto my friend please forgive me if you think I try to steal your style – it’s not what I want to do ;)
Greetings btw go to Veto who is a master with this style.
