I don't think my Huffman implementation is the most efficient possible - but thanks anyway :-). It bases on statistical probability of chars in English texts. However, available public data doesn't include special C64 chars and their probability, so I built my own numbers based on a large number of existing notes. ;-)

This makes it very efficient, but it could be even better if I would dynamically re-generate the Huffmann tree and then re-crunch all pages. This would take the used language into account (if it's not English) and because it might not have to include *all* characters, some chars could be represented by less bits.

Yeah - it's definitely time to re-understand the virtues of writing a note. A note is simply not just a text, but a mood conveyed with it along with music and all.

This noter features the best huffman code packer ever done on the C64. Very effective indeed!

TBNs and Red Devils previously unreleased musics in here are awesome.

Haven't used noters for a long, long time. But after trying out this one, I feel the urge to make noters again, such as live reports! :) Great work, Thunderblade!

As an official tester I can hardly >review< Ultraflash 3, but having said that... So far I have written about 150 kB of text (more than some sceners in their whole life) in it, and it's the best noter, or rather letter-maker, I've ever used. 70 kB of text, 8 kB for music, 3 charsets and all the features should be enough for anyone till 2100. Or Ultraflash 4, perhaps. :)
