@nooly: Sorry, I tried compiling for 10.6 but it wouldn't link. Something about lacking support for thread local variables. Guess you must cough up those $19.99 the Mountain Lion upgrade will cost you ;^)

2.5.1 for OS X contains fixes an issue with missing keys for those lacking a keypad. Also, there was a crash when viewing SID-registers. Thanks to Mr Ammo and youtH for helping out.

Youth - I can advise using this nifty key remap tool that has some standard options to enable keypad key mapping on keyboards without a keypad. You can find it here: https://pqrs.org/macosx/keyremap4macbook/

And don't use ctrl-f9, it still crashes then ;)

I love it, but on Mac OSX I am having trouble finding the right keys. Esp. since I don't have a numpad. Anyone else have this problem, and a solution maybe :)

CRRN: install http://www.libsdl.org/release/SDL-1.2.15.dmg and it will work again. The readme.txt has intructions on how to install it. When installed, it works again.

Thanks to Ruk for this tip / work around.

Anyone successfully compiled and got this to run on Ubuntu 64-bit?

I'm compiling it with gdc-4.4 (D version 1) with no errors, and it starts alright, but when I press F10 and select a tune to load, it segfaults.

Here's the output from running it with strace:

The mac version crashes on my machine with os x 10.8.4.

Try these steps that make it crash:

CheeseBug 1:
- Mouse click to instrument edit.
- press right cursor two times

The console log says:
25-06-2013 22:21:26,381 ccutter[50498]: CPSGetCurrentProcess(): This call is deprecated and should not be called anymore.
25-06-2013 22:21:26,382 ccutter[50498]: CPSSetForegroundOperationState(): This call is deprecated and should not be called anymore.

CheeseBug 2:
- press ctrl+9
- press any key

Console log:
26-06-2013 21:38:17,873 ccutter[54774]: CPSGetCurrentProcess(): This call is deprecated and should not be called anymore.
26-06-2013 21:38:17,874 ccutter[54774]: CPSSetForegroundOperationState(): This call is deprecated and should not be called anymore.

Anyone else encountered these problem?

The reason for me to make the FB forum is the same as why we have the C64/Amiga group in there (created by Sixx I believe).

I use Facebook more often than CSDb. I have an app for FB that notifies me etc.

Its a friendly group for fans or interested people, everyone scene related can join. I add everyone who is interested. Even "scene handle Only FB Profiles". Its about Sharing a common interest in a fast way.

I had plans for doing a tutorial/blog site for it someday, but currently I dont Have the time for that.

it would be more useful if you open a forum thread here than a closed to public fb group

Its an awesome editor. Very much what I have been searching for. Its like being back in youth again with JCH's beloved editor which I had back then in 1989, but this time on todays hardware. I just LOVE THIS... now I just need to figure out how to put a SID chip in my PC... hehe

Btw. We have created a Facebook group called "CheeseCutter SID music editor" - everyone interested are welcome!

We discuss tips'n'tricks, bugs etc. its all fun for musicians and followers :-)

Yeahwell... :) command+w is especially a killer when working with it using wine. So, there are still enough excuses not to make a music with it :)
