This one is _not_ broken, but if you like fance device numbers higher than 8 or appreciate cartridge fastloaders compatibility such as AR/RR or FCIII, take:
PSI 5 Trading Company +FMD
If you don't want any loading times at all and/or rather watch demo mode than actually play yourself, we recommend to flash
PSI 5 Trading Company +FD

Glad to hear it. I've written a bit about it to TheRyk.
It is actually two one-byte fixes, one in each of the two first files. In my setup there was an intermittent issue causing a crash after displaying the docs, perhaps 20% of the time. The second issue would cause a crash after showing the game intro piccy+music.
Good luck with the next version. Perhaps level compression will enable you to include the demo mode while keeping it a one-sider?

Works like a champ j0x, thanks!
We will include this (actually 1 byte) patch in a bugfix release soon along with multi-drive fix.

I'd be interested in knowing how you debugged that issue :)

The following 18 (!) pokes (which implement a one-byte fix to two files) seem to make it work just fine on my AR. Load the first file, type the pokes, then run it.

poke6347,192
poke6966,8
poke49152,169
poke49153,76
poke49154,141
poke49155,130
poke49156,144
poke49157,32
poke49158,0
poke49159,144
poke49160,169
poke49161,0
poke49162,141
poke49163,17
poke49164,26
poke49165,76
poke49166,13
poke49167,8

A lot of typing for fixing two bytes, eh? :)

M for modification indeed as we found one-siding was worth getting rid of the demo mode which was replaced by only showing crew files if you idle in select crew/course part. With the demo mode left as it orginally was, it wouldn't have fit in one .D64. Edit: Sorry for repeating myself, just saw I already explained in Summary

M is more common as "modification" today.

@Bacchus: M was also used for ingame trainers like levelskip, but that does not seem to apply here either, or does it?

Not sure what info you are looking for really. I didn't *do* anything to the rapidlok loader other than remove it.

dump the files:
break $ffbd, note the filename
break $0246, note the load addy ($ae)
break $024b, note the end addy
break $24b6, save file
step to RTS to find next jump

Patch calls to $ffd5 to jump to my loader.
Call $ffbd,$ffba, $ffd5 myself.
Jump to game code.

As far as the AR/RR issue, I'd like to have it fixed also, but I cant figure out the problem :/

Just out of curiosity, care to elaborate how the files were extracted and was anything done with the loader ?

It says "kernal load" right in the intro :)

Crashes here with AR too, bummer

Great work! Really and honestly.

Just a few questions and I'm sorry if this sounds like a shithead depriving you of the glory. I honestly don't want that, but I still feel an urge to ask/point out:

- FMD is F is TV system fix (check), D is Docs (is that the one pager before the game?) and then M should be megatrainer (there is no trainer, is there?)

- It doesn't work with action replay at all, or is is just me? (Running your intro, it turns black after the bitmap - running the "copyright 1985" I can select the crew and then when it starts loading, it freezes)
- It loads really slow - have you reverted back to stock loader or is this a patched version of the original Rapidlok loader?

@TheRyk maybe you'll need to backup the $BA somewhere as the game clears the ZP in certain cases :)

@Comos: These weirdo folx who can't just use drive no. 8... <- Just kidding, of course :D Blame the Testing idiot, hardcoded drive no. indeed escaped my radar this time, but easy to fix, so we will replace hardcoded #$08 by $BA zeropage value in next version.

Please fix the hardcoded drivenumber in the C6 and Copyright 1985 file, then it will be top notch :)
