I forgot how cool this demo is. Classic demo design and super sweet sound by Jammer, but what really stands out is the spheres of course. Had this been part of something bigger, it would have been unbeatable. Wonder when we'll see a sphere in a G*P demo :) Thank you for the huge effort, Sparta. Thank you for the cool music, Jammer. I really enjoyed revisiting this little gem.

This is quite a code. Congratulations Sparta. The amount of effort you’ve put into this pays you back with a well deserved world record. I would have loved to see this part in a kick ass long full fledged demo though. That would have been another blow with the hammer. Congrats and huge respect.

Must add that what Jammer goated together here is also totally uber crazy could let that end screen tune loop forever on my Stereo

Excellent watch! The only thing I regret is to not have HCL there with me when one of his records was smashed to pieces.

Man this is a great small demo indeed. I usually don't go for the "omg we breaks the recordz"-demos, but this one is very good. Nice pace, good style and nice effects. Plotballs are very good indeed. Thumbs up.
Why only 9? take a guess ;-)

Super impressive code! I can't even imagine all the trickery/cheating/etc. needed to get that many vectorplots going!

Another nice release from you. Once 700+ sinus plots was something, but this.. Its a coders wet dream :) Hands up for OMG!

@Mr. SID sometimes people (like me for example) have to reinvent the wheel as they cannot feel in others' methodology and workflow.

Thanks everyone for your comments!

@Mr. SID:It is all about goals and priorities. There is no struggle, I never had the urge to learn any of those things. ;)

This is incredibly awesome work. Also quite impressive for someone releasing their first production so late! Hats off.

The only thing that boggles my mind is how you can have a brain that can do all this and also write your own loader, but struggle with makefiles and modern languages. That shit is trivial in comparison. :)

Awesome stuff. This is what out scene is all about...

@Sparta: It's not about the programming language, it's all about who is using it and how.

Not sure what I expected to see in the compo at a small party like Fjälldata, but a remote entry of this caliber I certainly did not. Excellent!

This one, for me, should've been the compo winner. Fantastic work.

Thanks guys, I very much appreciate your comments. :)

I would like to point out that this demo would not be the same without Jammer's insanely awesome music!

@Ksubi:
I don't have any hard comparisons. Similar to any modern trackmo loader, Sparkle's raw data speed is 4 revolutions/track in the first speed zone and 3 revolutions/track on the rest of the disk. My only advantage is Spartan Stepping which eliminates any delay during track changes across adjacent tracks. Data verification occurs during block fetching and GCR decoding, like in Krill's loader, so only verified data blocks get transferred. In general, I think the load speed is comparable to that of Lft's loader as I am also using a per-block compression. :)

@dano:
I may release it in the near future. It has a (don't laugh) Windows GUI with script editor and disk builder/editor functions written in VB.NET (the only non-asm language I speak). May be useful for the makefile-challenged folks like myself. ;)

Really nice... Loved the balls but that plasma part is also awesome!

Sparta- How does your loader compare to LFT's, Krill's, Bitbreaker's and HCL's loader as far as speed and decompression times? Any stats / comparisons?
