What the hell is an "Unreleased release" anyway???

Oswald, I have a strange déja vù with this picture as well. I might have seen it before, years ago.

nah, this must have been released somewhere as I remember seeing it. I bet it has entered on some hungarian party the gfx compo.

When I first saw this I thought "Hey, that's pretty ancient, why is this a new release?!" But as it seems it wasn't released outside Singular so far. If would be Leon I would have given the drawing date instead of 2006 as the "release" date...

radiantx: don't worry, I knew it's AFLI right from the start, just wanted ditch leon a bit for creating releases without download link.

Sure looks like AFLI to me. Did you who claimed otherwise even try counting the colours before judging it a fake? Anyway, pretty nice work. The colourscheme sucks majorly, of course, as is the case with most AFLI pictures, but doing something as detailed as a face in AFLI is cool. I'd love to see what i.e. Helm or Ptoing could do in this mode, with their fresh approach to colours.

Release uploaded

Couldn't get it to work with sprites quickly enough, so just a gray background... Hope that's alright, Leon :_)

Leon: i'll try to get the left 3 chars back with sprites for you... give me some time

Come on Mirage, we want the proof! \:D/

Btw. Jetboy, this is not a "fullscreen" picture, just move it to the right side of a 320x200 screen and it becomes a regular AFLI.

It's not c64 picture because of fli bug.

I dunno - any excuse to plug timanthes ;-)
User Comment
Submitted by Mirage on 30 August 2006
I ran the screenshot through timanthes and i've got a working .prg now... it's really AFLI (don't have the left 3 chars working, for obvious reasons)

Not unreleased for me, Leon ;)

Leon, who do you want to fool? Mate, it's so obvious this isn't a C64 picture... There is too many colors in one char! :D

User Comment
Submitted by leonofsgr on 30 August 2006
it's C64 picture!
User Comment
Submitted by Jetboy on 30 August 2006
Its not c64 picture, i guess. But if you was stubborn you could do it with afli + 3 sprite layers to cover fli bug. Hard to do, but possible.

Edit: or probably Crossbow already made editor that makes that possible.
