The d64 seems to have many deleted files according to 64copy's diskcheck. After comparing with The Quest of the Space Beagle (working) these files are missing
MCPR.OBJ
MINT.OBJ
MSET.OBJ
MSYC.OBJ
MTXT.OBJ
PINT.OBJ
PSET.OBJ
QDISK
SAVEGAME
SCHA.OBJ
SMAP.OBJ

and this

ITXT.OBJ
altered year with "1989 AVALON HILL GAME CO." instead of "1987" etc.

after replacing the missing files in the Paramount.d64, the game title shows the starfield and loads the game as expected.

CPU Jam @ $870a while loading, confirmed.
Title screen also doesn't show the starfield.

Got this comment on fb from a non csdb user. "The games main menu seems glitchy and not correct and when I press F3 to start a new game the game starts to load but I get a CPU HALT if I remember right."
