The story of dunamode... Ok let's do this: Aeons ago i built a guitar pedal, big muff PI green russian, with lorin 12 position switches for clipping diode selectio... FFWD.. so my friend, a sound engineer, gave the organizer my pedal. and he said "who builds such pedals belongs here to the party". so i was invited to be a backline technician for three years, almost in a row. its not a festival. it's a family party. 150 people, four diesel generators, a truckload of fender and marshall amps, professional sound people... and - sardinian waves, awesomely coloured sunsets, beer for breakfast, sand in your underpants, the air and sea makes you feel invincible. you switch into DUNAMODE. this is the experience packaged into this song. the ending with the double snare hit was stolen from "tempest" by the band "a great river in the sky", it's on youtube and really one of the most amazing stonerpsychrock earworms ever. my tune was written in two days, finished it before noon one day before the party. the version here is more extended, i shortened some parts for drama and demoparty time constraints. some pulse instruments have issues, so this is absolutely unpolished. this was the first tune where i stopped to read notes but my fingers just kept pushing the right keys, and it went like that thru the whole song. i admit to have deliberately avoided the "white key fucker" scale in the beginning, the rest was added by ear. i would have some stories to tell, if someone is willing to read. GENERATOR PARTY! and remember: ten mushrooms maximum!
