I have no comments for the production itself but... :)

"I was struggeling with very extreme sleepieness and near-death-lack-of-motivation over the past few weeks"

Dude, this is definitely not an excuse considering the product size and complexity. :) People try to break a world record, create a 3d engine etc. After working on it for several months, sometimes they say "i lost my motivation and released as is" but nope, that excuse doesn't apply in your case. :)

Tbh, first i tried it at the well known zp location but it crashed the first time i ran it. I didn't want to find out why so i used the other vector method which i somehow like more. And at first it was just a bw strobe. So i set it to red/cyan, was happy it also worked on ntsc, proof of concept, first, done. I was struggeling with very extreme sleepieness and near-death-lack-of-motivation over the past few weeks, so this is actually just something i made to find out if i can even still remember how to do it, without looking anything up (tbh the vectors hook i have as a default template). And i know if i sit there for hours to optimise things by looking up or bruteforcing the correct byte order of commands, always some wizard will come and say, oh - didn't you know you could have done it in n bytes less! So 44 is good for me, firstie, little joke, done. :-)

I am more curious on how you managed to produce this funky screenshot :=)

This looks like you even didn't bother to use the first few trivial optimisations in the book =D

Thought this would be some kind of new meme in the vein of https://www.pouet.net/search.php?what=grey+screen but... no. :)

So... red and cyan, yes, flipped once a frame at VBL?
