The STIL info is not clear indeed but it is not about the cover of the s'express song although the tune from Knatter and Reyn are covering that as well, it's about the lead that starts at 1:01 in:

/MUSICIANS/K/Knatter/X-akkspress.sid

which is also in the following songs from Reyn:

/MUSICIANS/O/Ouwehand_Reyn/Spidie_Aga.sid at 0:08
/MUSICIANS/O/Ouwehand_Reyn/Speedzax.sid
/MUSICIANS/O/Ouwehand_Reyn/Ruling_Speedzax.sid, Tune #1

This lead is not from s'express. Therefore it is interesting who did the original or is this a cover of something?

I actually don't hear any similarities in the 2 songs, Reyn's only have S-xpress bassline in the first seconds then it's a totally different song than S-xpress, while Knatter's seems more of a cover of the 1988 hit song. To me the STIL comment about Knatter's possibily covering Reyn is wrong, but hey, I don't know any better, just my opinion. All the hard evidence I can see is this release is already used from 1988 while Reyn's Spidie Aga doesn't appear anywhere before a 1989 release. If this release was spread with this intro and tune after 1988, and only the packer got used in 1988 before being introlinked and spread, it's a possibility but it's not known.
How about asking the authors for once? =)

I know both tunes are very similar.

If this is more than a feeling,
1988 as release year of Knatter's X-akkspress in HVSC would also be wrong.
(btw only 1988 use here in CSDb currently _IS_ THIS Cross-Linker release)

The linker might be used already in 1988 by Xakk, but this tool is probably released in 1989 since the music can't be from 1988 since it is based on /MUSICIANS/O/Ouwehand_Reyn/Spidie_Aga.sid which is from 1989.
