The original is an inked pencil sketch. Pixeling done in PhotoShop with a touchpad. Done for our small meeting for fun. The play here was with the sideborder rasters that indeed brought the whole 'horizontal' idea of the characters.

@Monte Carlos , there are sideborder splits in borders. Some sprites on the top and bottom borders.
