I'm not a musician but that sounds to me like someone killing a cat. Just listen to the original and then try again.

So, I couldn't resist. DL'd Sid Wizard and edited the song a bit. https://rikuo.thqa.fi/solotest.sid
Here's a version where the solo is a bit louder and has some modulation, also transposed 1 octave down to better separate it from the arpeggio. This version also repeats the part in the beginning without the solo to let ears rest. I think the problem here is that this solo would need an introduction. A solo part that would be easier for the listener to decipher and then this would work nicely as a variation of that. Now it comes a little unannounced and can be too much for some, especially as it's repeated. Still, I think it's nice, just needs something before it and the song needs structure instead of just repeating this one piece endlessly.

I disagree with this being out of tune. The melody is just fine, cool even, only problem is instrumentation. Add some modulation, including vibrato, perhaps some more slides and more volume so that the solo stands out from the backing and it will be totally fine. I would do this myself to prove my point, but won't bother since I'm a GT guy and I'd rather spend my time looking at videos of capybaras in onsen and eating ice-cream.

@Vincenzo: There is some ear reading but some is reading and writing, like the chords (but well, its hard to decipher chords when you dont have Perfect pitch)

@Stinsen: Its alright

What vincenzo said (better than me). I'm sorry for my rude and unconstructive comment yesterday.

@DeMOSic:
Bass, rhythm and chords sound good. The melody is out of tune and its notes don't match the chord progression. It makes the overall feel dissonant. Without the melody I'd say it's pretty good, knowing that you didn't use sng2swm conversion but put it together by ear. Now use that ear again and work out a fitting melody too.

I'm all for the ploy take, e.g. The Unentertainer

If this is a serious attempt I would advice to read up on basic music theory, not amused.

Testing or not, cross-meme-referencing or not, - if you have no clue what might be wrong with this track, the diagnosis is most certainly "amusia".

@TheRyk: i dont really get the this is scratchy comments tho. maybe its just my ears thinking the lead is not too high (its at the point where i think its not too high nor to low) and well, this is just a test on SIDWizard to just learn how to use it.
