Summary

1. Original disk uses track 29 as error track, for the speed test as well as source to decrypt the main program.
2. Boot-loader uses XOR encryption to protect the actual loader.
3. Custom 1541 code reads a particular byte from the error track to send over to the c64 to decrypt the main program after loading.
4. Fix: Cassette test was bugged, and created 4 headers on tape instead of the usual two, causing verify to fail.
5. Fix: Printer test abort routine would crash the program due to bug. Also implemented correct key combination (per manual) to abort.
6. Hack: Added code to Mr Tester to generate the error track 29 for the speed test to work, including warning to the user.
7. Crack: removed copy-protection and one-filed the release. |
