i love that this artist leaves his comfort zone often lately, or at least that's how i see it. (and i don't see much.)
highlights: strong contour, of almost monochromatic quality - and THE EXPRESSION. it looks like a still :)

The mixed compo voting probably explains it. Or maybe someone wanted to bring Sarge down a notch. (I wasn't there, I swear!)

BUT, I have to say here the added borders do almost nothing, and am convinced a 320x200 crop would have looked tighter and even supported the facial expression better. Now my eyes are dragged to the dome of the head, which I don't like all that much.

Still, I couldn't really give it less than a 10.
