For the time, good results can be generated by manually selecting charblocks across different frames and observing whether the inserted char replaces more than 1 char in the processed image, and replacing chars in the codebook if there is minimal image change, etc. this method a single charbank can be used for many frames. Have a look at this example.. Its running at 25 frames per second with 12 real frames displayed per second (and pseudo inbetween frame to generate 25 different images per second)
