Photoshop, 320x200 Canvas, VICE Colour Pallet, and a dream / nightmare was all that was required to pixel Dark Dream. The image was started, and stopped many times. Hires Bitmap felt like the wrong choice, and Multi Colour Bitmap, or FLI might have produced something closer to the results I was searching for.

Story behind the picture: Years ago I had a dream, you could say I had a dark dream. I was standing there, just standing there, in a surreal place. There were cube shaped mounds of sand / earth above which cubes of water sat. Nothing appeared to contain the water, no glass, nothing. Within each cube bizarre fish lived. There was an overwhelming urge to walk forward, and navigate through what the maze. For some inexplicable reason this was not possible. The dream ended. I can only attribute the dream to two main factors, one, I play video games, and two, I once kept a pair of Cowfish in an aquarium. They were yellow, with blue spots, and contained highly poisonous venom. From my side, maybe there was a hint of guilt of keeping animals caged, although both fish, along with their tank mate, a Mandarin fish, appeared quite content.

The hires logo’s that appear during the intro include a TND logo created by taking letters of an old Intruder logo (the logo appears in its multicolour form during: GFX-Col.1 [Logos] ). The Cosine logo was converted from an unused multi colour Cosone logo (the logo can be seen here: Cosine Logo ). The Crest logo was converted from a yet to be released Ufli logo. I sure hope that once day Crossbow puts the logo to use. The WEC logo was made especially for Dark Dream.
