Summary

This minimalistic tool extracts HiRes bitmap and colmap data from a VICE snapshotfile (.vsf).
Comes with simple C-source, binary compiled for ubuntu/linux.

EDIT: attached win32 build (thanks skoe!)

HOWTO:
- Launch vice (known to work with version 2.1.16)
- during HiRes display save a snapshot-file (alt+s in linux)
- execute 'vicegrab snapshot.vsf'.

The code will 'parse' the vsf file for the specific VIC/CIA settings and extract the bitmap and colmap data which are saved in separate files.
Along with the data an executable binary to view the HiRes is generated.

If your snapshot was not taken during HiRes-Display (i.e. some screen-mode-split) it will fail miserably without any comments (you will see in the viewer)...

Enjoy if you can,
enthusi
