Very nice game. There's only one thing missing: power-ups!

Really nice, TMR! ;-) I quite like the gfx, some of the enemy ship anims are really good (and IMHO better than IO or Armalyte!). Unusual choice of Multicolors for the sprites, blue and white... The intropic-tune sounds really wrong, but ingame music is decent. nothing great, but decent...

@Skoe: added the CRT file for download.

@iAN: i LIKE the loader, so it went in... no better reason. =-)

The game itself is byte identical to the cart version. This disk version adds a loader and Cosine intro.
Could have been onefiled w/o the need of a loader btw.

"is this the same game version as Genesis Project and Onslaught did release on the 2nd of August?"
those "cracks" are from the cartridge

Would be nice if you could add the cartridge version too.

@Mr. SID: i got a box of second hand pixels from eBay that were sold as blanks so you might be right...

Sorry, couldn't resist. =-) The pipes are inspired by Io, here's what Smila had to say at Format War:

"Bob was one of my graphic heroes when i was young and IO was beutifull so wanted to include something from IO in the edge grinder tiles."

Also a lot of pixels look like they once belonged to the graphics of IO.

I had mixed feeling towards EG. It’s always good to see a new game released. I found the play area a little too restrictive.

The STE'86 Loading pic. looks good.

I had mixed vibes towards the background graphics and sprites. Sure there’s a lot of colour. Most of the time I sensed the artist maybe borrowed heavily from Armalyte.

The game rates higher than most PD shoot’em ups.
I liked the movie feel when the Cosine logo appears :)

Check the Summary - which unfortunately is pretty bad implemented into CSDb atm.

Nice one, really. But is this the same game version as Genesis Project and Onslaught did release on the 2nd of August? If so, why is the "Original" published here so late?
cheers

Intentionally simplistic, but well made. Nice graphics (although I don't like the design of backgrounds) and great music. Good for a some casual fun and especially for competitive players, who will certainly enjoy discovering strategies to accumulate points.
Finished on my second attempt - on the first one, my shooting hand got cramped :p
Thanks for making and releasing it!
