don't worry, it just got attention due to the false alarms :P | User Comment Submitted by Radd Maxx on 20 June 2018
Wow, why's this one getting so many downloads? Does it have something to do with the cracker? I was going to put a note in here that I'm not exactly sure of who cracked it.
This is something from my personal US collection that was probably copied from a local townie before I even owned a modem. I assumed it was a US release at first but the only Disk Bandits in the db seems to be a German fellow who called himself "The Disk Bandits". This release is 2 years older than his other releases in the db so I'm skeptical that this is the same Disk Bandits. Usually a big gap in release dates means you probably dont have the right group.
However, for some reason I dont know, I do have an unusual amount of German cracks in my personal collection, especially old stuff (84 - 85). There must have been someone around me calling a German BBS or had a pen pal or something. So it's not a stretch that I would have a 1985 release from the German Disk Bandits on a 30+ year old disk, it's just weird that it's much older than their/his other releases in the db.
Maybe it's the awesome intro screen? It's a clever reworking of the game's actual title screen (which in this release you dont see). | User Comment Submitted by G-Force on 18 June 2018 User Comment Submitted by iAN CooG on 18 June 2018
Firefox downloads it but in the download window it's saying it's malicious aswell. Vivaldi doesn't blink an eye instead.
Of course false alarms, it's a ZIP containing 2 D64. | User Comment Submitted by G-Force on 18 June 2018
Chrome is saying this file is malicious and has blocked it. |
