the scene is composed by humans, some of them really do the impossible to help you, some of them a bit less, some of them just answer "RTFM" and the remaining little few of them don't even give you an answer. but all in all this cooperative and competitive place is a friendly place if you respect some basic behavior rules.
lo siento mucho mi amigo Arlequin, I don't agree with you: some new faces were attracted and entered the c64 demoscene lately and I don't think they faced problems because of the so called "elitism". if you think I'm wrong pls provide some examples/stories.
and: nice title for a release!
and and: what elite Bob said! :) | User Comment Submitted by spider-j on 27 April 2019
Just ignore grumpy Ian. He did a lot of cool stuff, but has a strong tendency to behave a little bit "antisocial" online ;-) Don't know about offline - that weird guy doesn't even show up at X ;-) The longer you're in C64 scene the more you'll learn to love the occasional misanthropic comments by him :-)
About the tune: great title and chill composition with oldschool sounds! Me likes. Love that groove!
<3 to you all: PVM, THCM & IAN :-) | User Comment Submitted by Bob on 26 April 2019
THCM release the tool ;) its time for everyone to release their creativity...
Sharing is Caring ....
C64 might get some new blood after all..
my 25 cents.. | User Comment Submitted by Naku on 26 April 2019
The Human Code Machine I didn't have tried to be rude or something like that, this is the text on the entry description displayed on the Revision scree.
"Dedicated to the C64 coder hero called "The Human Code Machine". Thank you for your amazing work, and please be kind and release your amazing tool"
This are words of a commodore music fan looking for new sounds, not a person looking for problems.
I deeply regret if I gave you some kind of problems with this release but it is not my intention :) | User Comment Submitted by arlequin on 26 April 2019
THCM: LOL, just to clarify: I wasn't talking about you and/or your tool.
I was talking about the comment that is below. I don't see how this supremacist discourse of "lamer" vs "elite" is useful to grow the demoscene and attract new people into it.
I work hard to attract new ppl into the demoscene, talking of it as a place to use technology in a very creative and non-commercial way.
I think we should be more concerned about manners that don't create a friendly environment for people who is new to the demoscene.
Finally, I represent my own, not Los Pat Moritas or my group thoughts. | User Comment Submitted by The Human Code Machine on 26 April 2019
Naku "was" on the list for the upcoming beta as I wrote him on FB, but his group members should mind their manners. | User Comment Submitted by arlequin on 26 April 2019
We often ask ourselves why the demoscene doesn't attract new talents. Well, it's because f*cking n*zi elitism. | User Comment Submitted by Naku on 24 April 2019
i have asked for it and i would love to have it. can u send it to me Ian Coog ? | User Comment Submitted by iAN CooG on 22 April 2019
About title: I'd rather not see it released publcly. Better not see 10 random mod converted a day upped by lamers, but only few made by valid musicians. Also, the tool is handed to whoever asks for it. |
