of course you can always draw entry out of compo, but the $d018 stuff should be allowed if I interpret Tuffi correctly unless you do it more often than 1x per frame.

Quoting 'Tuffi in Rules'
animations are allowed. $d011, $d018 and vic-bank can be changed once per screen.

@Monte Carlos: Indeed, I used double buffering, and there is a bug that sometimes shows up and puts wrong values in column 40 of all lines. Will fix and both (hopefully) and resubmit.

@Monte Carlos:
I checked the entries in C64Debugger today, to compare them, because I'm confused a little bit with the rules, too.
My guess is that Scan is switching $D018 to use double buffering (others don't) and quoting competition rules "...set $d011/d016/d018/vic-bank only in init..." you can't do it.
But, colours registers can be changed as many times as you want because Smasher's entry is OK... yet ;)

BTW very nice plasma!

I did, I called it ECM Plasma/Desire, but someone renamed it to ECM Plasma.

great plasma fx!
you should have called this "ECM Plazma" or "ECM Plasma II" or "Scan ECM Plasma" or something else since an entry with exactly the same name already exists in this compo.

Very nice, I like it!

I believe that the rules allow for colours to be changed per frame.. and for music to be added. That would make this perfect IMO.

Not the first, but hopefully enjoyable.
