Added a screenshot (gif) for this production. Screens were taken using the Z64 emulator (settings: Nearest neighbour and c128-vdc-deekay palette - to get the yellow/brown right).

Very cool. I had no idea the VDC wasn't synchronised to the CPU.

Wow that's great. The first time I noticed how different the colors in the 80 column mode are, and the first time I saw a nice font there.
You don't notice all these things when 99% of the software only uses the ugly system font.

Ok, since I had posted that colorless cap (screw the eBay scart cable-guy! :D ) earlier, I suppose I have to post one too this since I redid it :).

Another videozation, perhaps someone might be interested to watch this :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35xXfbDc8zM
apparently all Sony RGB-compatible tv:s and dvr:s support C128's 80-col colour mode, just get a proper cable.

Works fine on my Mac os X Snow Leopard using Lallafa's build (Version 2.2.1-r22310_20100221_trunk.)

Some weird bugs though when it comes to rasterbar part (sideborder flicker) and the plasma part (weird lines in the upper part of the plasma effect).

Such a buzz to see a C128 demo and I was somewhat surprised to discover that it worked on my flat C128 with 16Kb video RAM (I now know that the 64Kb version of the chip just gives more features). Even nicer that it loaded in C128 mode using my 1541 Ultimate. Pity I only have a monochrome lead for 80-cols C128 output since my monitor died. :( Handy having it up on You Tube to see all those colours.

WoW!!!Finally after many years I made to to run this demo!!! I got a 128D from ebay, but drive 1571 did not work :(. Opened it and resurrected it with some grease: drive head was stuck and wouldn't move. Now it runs, it sooooo coool to have a fully working 128D running this demo!!!

Also have a close look at the 60Hz-mode that I recorded with my Z1. It flickers a bit, but this time the sound is half-decent :-D

Graham, I'll never forget how you explained the timing problems (&solutions) for the VDC demo to me on the bp where this masterpiece was released. (But.. are the VIC IO addresses turned off when using VDC?)

AND YOU MADE IT A ONEFILER ???? Wow, there are _so_ many wonderful gfx and all inside.. this is definitely the perfect C128 demo.

thunderbird: That link is br0kenz0r, quota exceeded (arcor is so lame!). I really really want that video as I'm planning to do a RFO DVD for all the people that never saw it/could run it and i still need all the VDC stuff. How did you capture it?

Runs very well on my C128dcr with 1084S-D1. Also the 60Hz-mode is just fine! Someone asked for a video... here it is:

Good to see Graham or Mr. Maximalist in action again. ;) This is perhaps a good practice for another new real c128 demo in the future? At least this is the first demo (with this update) utilizing some c128-mode capabilities.

Also, good to see that, this update proves that, my effort soldering an rgbi cable for the VDC mode, wasn't a totally futile effort. ;) The experimental 60hz mode worked fine too on my setup.

Great job!

well, except compitibility issues, there is not much change or addition. I want a new fresh crest and/or oxyron demo :(

other than that, demo rocx of course.

Remember to set 1571 as drive. At least you can see most of it even on x128.
