I found ym-64_sid.zip in an old backup of mine. Now uploaded. | User Comment Submitted by Fred on 15 August 2021
I've updated his website URL but the mentioned files point to dead links on the website as well. | User Comment Submitted by hedning on 15 August 2021
ym-64_prg.zip and ym-64_sid.zip links are dead. Can someone upload them locally to csdb? | User Comment Submitted by Odie on 30 May 2010
I disagree with this emulation. Everything I ever wrote for the Atari sounds really bad on this emulator, incomplete, or severely corrupt!
Also, one extra tune in the online archives was incorrectly creditd to me (Wacky Races)! | User Comment Submitted by Xiny6581 on 18 May 2010
Very nice YM-Player for the C-64. Almost all songs do sound great, with that SID twitch, though :) | User Comment Submitted by Frantic on 18 May 2010
I think this is to be considered a music player, a bit like winamp or such... I.e., a tool. | User Comment Submitted by Nitro on 17 May 2010
The concept is great, but the realization is very bad in my opinion, just feeding music data onto three identically configured channels(if I'm not mistaken) gives very bad results. The tunes with AY-like sound(e.g. Agent 64 by Factor6) on C64 shows that we can get quite close to the original. | User Comment Submitted by hedning on 17 May 2010
Correction: Trying to play these SID-tunes on a 1541U on a real c64 (8580) is a mess. It just sounds crap. The tune played within the YM-64 sounds really good, though. Strange. | User Comment Submitted by hedning on 17 May 2010
Interesting. The SID-tunes made with this tool sounds like crap on my hardSID, but OK on a real C64. Why? | User Comment Submitted by Moloch on 17 May 2010
If it converts tunes, must be a tool.

I'd say it's more of a tool. But 'misc' is fine by me. | User Comment Submitted by chatGPZ on 17 May 2010
according to him the standalone player which you can link to .ym files yourself will be released in the next update .... that said, i am not entire sure how to classify this entry, "music collection" ? *shrug* | User Comment Submitted by Viscid on 17 May 2010
Yeah, a nice release on midnight! Have to try it with real Atarisoundfiles lateron. |
