Text:WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF 'VARIABLE SCREEN POSITIONING' OR VSP FOR SHORT....!! WHAT YOU ARE SEEING BELOW THIS SCROLLER IS A BITMAP SCROLLING SMOOTHLY LEFT AND RIGHT, NOT USING TWO BANKS OR A LARGE AMOUNT OF RASTER TIME, IN FACT IT TAKES JUST TWO RASTER LINES OF PROCESSOR TIME TO SCROLL A BITMAP..... YES, VSP IS THE NEW CRAZE, INVENTED BY JCB OF THE MEANTEAM AND FINALLY FU
LLEY CODED ON 30/10/87.. ALTHOUGH I INVENTED THE ROUTINE MANY MONTHS AGO.. YES AND NOW ALL YOU DEMO WRITERS WILL BE TAKING THIS ROUTINE AND USING IT IN YOUR OWN DEMOS...... GUESS WHAT I AM GOING TO SAY NOW??? YES, WHEN YOU USE 'VSP' CALL IT VSP, OR IF YOU HAVE WRITTEN YOUR OWN VERSION, THEN WELL DONE, BUT CREDIT ME (JCB MT) WITH THE INVENTION.... THANX MUST GO TO TURTLE FOR GETTING ME OFF MY ARSE TO GET THIS DEMO FINISHED AND FOR SPENDING TILL FOUR O.CLOCK IN THE MORNING WORKING OUT THE TIMERS CUZ I COULDNT BE BOTHERED..... THIS DEMO IS THE SIMPLEST FORM OF VSP, JUST SLIDING THE SCREEN AT A CONSTANT SPEED.... COMING SOON WILL BE 'GALLERY TWO MT' WHICH WILL CONTAIN NICER USES OF 'VSP' SUCH AS INERTIAL BOUNCING BITMAPS ETC.... ALSO I WILL PROBABLY RE-WRITE THE ROUTINE TO ALLOW DIAGONAL SCROLLING OF THE BITMAP..... SO HERE IS THE PROOF TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO DIDNT BELEIVE ME.... HEY GILLY, STOP TRYING TO GIVE MY NEW INVENTIONS AWAY TO TONY CROWTHER.... ANYWAY, THIS DEMO ISNT UP TO MUCH (HMM??!!) WELL MUCH 'ELSE' ANYWAY, THE MUZAK IS INTERNATIONAL KARATE + BY ROB HUBBARD.... THE BITMAP IS BY DOKK.... NOW THE GREETINGS.... HI AND THANX TO TURTLE.... HI TO GILLY, HAGAR, PERDITA, JEAN, UBIK, MAT, MATT, DAZ (HAPPY NOW??), LEE+LINDA (HELLLOOO), STOAT+TIM, TMC, CFR, TIME ZONE, HOTLINE, GI-JO (WHERES YA GAME GOT TO?), COLIN, GRAHAM AND DOKK, CHROMA, DAVE, JANE, JASON (THIS ONES GOTTA B 4 THE HALL OF FAME)..... THATS IT, MINDS GONE BLANK..... OH WELL THEN, THATS ABOUT IT, REMEMBER VARIABLE SCREEN POSITIONING WAS INVENTED BY JCB OF THE MEANTEAM IN 1987....... BYE.....

About this site:
CSDb (Commodore 64 Scene Database) is a website which goal is to gather as much information and material about the scene around the commodore 64 computer - the worlds most popular home computer throughout time. Here you can find almost anything which was ever made for the commodore 64, and more is being added every day. As this website is scene related, you can mostly find demos, music and graphics made by the people who made the scene (the sceners), but you can also find a lot of the old classic games here. Try out the search box in the top right corner, or check out the CSDb main page for the latest additions.
