Handlestory :
I started on the scene in 86 by using the abbreviation of my real name wich is Hogne B. Pettersen. I then changed it to Vanessa, for some inexplicable reason since I'm male, and in 1989 I took the handle The Elf when I joined WOW. I still use Elf has an artistic and internet name.

My friends in England never could pronounce my real name, and since they thought I looked like an Elf with my (then) long hair, they started calling me Elf.
