iAN CooG: you're right upx -d changes the binary (of course), and thus the signed app is not valid anymore. In addition to upx -d the signing of the app must be stripped too.

This is still a *fantastic* piece of software. I use this and Vice in parallel to do my stunts.

Thanks for comments.
Yes, the Vice monitor is not hooked yet, I tried this but found strange issues, current monitor is a kind of workaround for this temporarily and definitely I plan to have classic Vice monitor console included too... will be soon :)

Executable is packed using UPX and then code is signed, the same way as previous version. Interesting that your AV found problem only with this version, I did not have this issue on my setup... anyway, you can try to unpack the exe and see if the problem persists.

ah now I see, this doesn't come with normal vice monitor, I see now what the difficulty is.

la-style: you're using a wrong command for setting bytes
> 1000 ad
> 1234 ad 01 20
etc, that's how it should be used
filling a single byte is a contradiction in terms ;)
Anyway filling a single byte
f 1000 1000 ad
works for me in VICE, even if it's overkill for setting just one or two bytes, use >

In Monitor i always have to select a range of atleast 2 Bytes to fill a memory Location. You are not able to fill just 1 byte. It always has to be atleast F 1000 1001 31, I cant to F 1000 1000 31

Yes, i definately don't blame it on the tool but on the scanner. I decided to make an exclusion for this special file, but anyhow it's a very wellused scanner (Avira) and even if Virustotal reports it as no virus, it's blocked by the real one. Older Versions of the Debugger work, so maybe go back to the old Header?

It would be better without upx compression, even if it's well known, stupid AVs often, not knowing better, just report them as possible threat.
BTW virustotal says it's 100% clean, so you are using some very wrong AVs or not updated signatures.

What about compiling from sources? ;)

I'm not able to use the Windows-Version as most virusscanners actually block it. I guess this is related to something like an UPX-header or whatsoever. Is there any workaround (except of turning the scanner off)? --> Pattern "HEUR/APC (Cloud)" found
