"But the jittering is well inside what is considered the normal screen on any crt? Shouln't Vice show that without having to open extended border view?"
How much border area a CRT shows depends on the individual Monitor/TV. Not all show the "full" border, which is why some see this glitch on their setup and others dont. The default "normal border" mode shows what typical TVs show (not the full border), "full border" shows the maximum border (some) monitors will show. Coders should check for glitches in "full border" mode, and check for "everything visible" in "normal border" mode - then it works fine everywhere.

"Seems Vice is b0rked. ;)" no - simply use "full border" mode. This is a nice demonstration for why this mode exists at all :)

Really nice style! Stop the naysayers and release a v1.1 with the rasters stable - and fixing the grey dots / wolf dots at the same time hopefully :-)

Very nice look to this one though, very promising.

Yup. Jittering confirmed on the Gubbdata compo real hw as well. Sorry. Seems Vice is b0rked. ;) While at it I updated the screenshot which was not pixel exact. Feel free to upload a new pixel exact gif.

The first visible cycles on the left side of the bottom raster bar. On my CRT I can see the whole cycle (and the jitter)

Simple but it looks nice! Shame about the raster bugs in the bottom left..
