I can imagine you could improve your picture by adding background. Maybe you should make v2, I would love to see what would you do with that. But otherwise, you are right human touch on yours one make it more acceptable for my tastes. I recently joined the group and apart from beatiful color combinations and not completely bad dithering techniques, the result still reveal that automation was involved. Good start, but someone needs to take them and add hour or two (or how much time you pixel artists spend to get it perfect) of finishing touches.

Thank you for all the positive comments.
Now in 2024 someone used a converter to convert the same image. The results are good,
but lacks the love of the human touch ;)

Maybe it is more accurate?
To me in lacks sharpness.

The shades of grey follow the curvature of the face in a smooth way. There is one nasty color bug which could be solved with the background color at the cheek (underneath/to the right of the eye), where the metal skin meets the plastic skin.
