While the part's running, you can enter VICE mon to fix this:- > 2275 3f > 227a 3f > 227f 3f So basically, $d021,2,3 are being continually written to with the same values. On new VICs, which you'd see running on VICE's x64sc for example (the recommended default), this causes wolfdots. Ask Mibri about them, he loves them. I wondered whether it was an intentional starfield .. but they're only there on the non-black parts of the screen, of course. Wolf-dots are present in loads of 80s demos because many sceners, myself included, only had the old VIC.. so didn't know that they were even a thing. Nowadays, though, there's no excuse - these should've been caught in testing.
