More prizes! Thanks to our friends from "Komoda & Amiga plus - Commodore computers users’ magazine" (https://ka-plus.pl/en/) we'll have 3 copies of the newest issue (autumn/winter 2023, just released) of the magazine (https://www.c64.fun/gfx/komodaamigaplus.jpg) added to our prize pool (ENG and POL to choose).

We are back today with a little update: some initial entries are already submitted!

We are really happy to announce that our friend and hw-guru, Drygol/Lamers (check his amazing retro-projects at: https://retrohax.net/blog/) has sponsored some cool prizes for the winners in our compo. So the prize pool consists now: a brand new Kung Fu Flash cartridge and 3 awesome LED lighted (7 colors, 9 modes), rechargeable pendants with C=64 logo laser engraved in a clear acrylic plate. Hello Fellow C64 Sceners!
Here we'd like to announce that this year, during the "4th Live with Polish C64 Demoscene" event (held annually around Xmas since 2020) we are going to have
"Xmas/Winter themed 1-screener online compo" and we cordially invite All of You to take part in it.
All the entries will be presented on youtube (with chat) around 9pm. on the Saturday, 23rd Dec. (just 2 days before Xmas)
and all the (free) voting will happen right after that, during the event.
The results will be presented within an hour after the compo and all the Winners will be announced immediately.
The prizes (including special statuettes, english paper magazines, hw gadgets, etc.) will be posted to the Winners worldwide at the organizer's expense).
All you need to do is email your Xmas/Winter themed 1-screen productions to: ( compo@c64.fun ) before 12:00pm (noon) on 23rd Dec. 2023.
The organizers are Steffan/BooM! (the Xmas Live head presenter) and the whole editorial office of C64.FUN - the Polish C64 Community News Service
( https://www.c64.fun - visit us and use Google Translate button to get the Polish translated to some interfacing language like English).
The voting in the compo will be based on the individual tokens you'll be able to get per email request ( token@c64.fun ). The online voting system (with production screenshots) will be available on https://www.c64.fun (no login/registration required, the token will be enough).
More details will be provided here soon.
Please note: although the main voice commentary will be in Polish, we'll try to post the translation on the chat and you are very welcome to use
any language you like on chat like many people did in the previous years. We'll be happy to talk with you, just say hello when you join the chat.
The event (and the chat) will start on 8:00pm on the 23rd of December 2023 on Youtube ( https://www.youtube.com/@steffan-c64 ).
It usually takes 3-4 hours and some cool Polish demos from the recent parties will be presented in the historical order there
(that was the initial idea for the previous events, now we'll catch up with the recent ones). Some non-compo premieres are planned too.
Compo Rules:
============
- 1-screen productions only (no multi-parts, no additional depacking/loading - cracktro style prods please)
- single file to run on standard C64 (in .prg format)
- BASIC faders are allowed (and surely admired)
- presentation time: from 2:30 to 4:00 minutes (depending on number of entries)
- theme: Xmas, Winter, snow, snowmen, penguins, Santa Claus, reindeers, Kevin home alone, breakdance on ice, etc. - be creative, surprise us! =)
Deadline: 12pm (noon), 23rd Dec. 2023

During the previous Xmas Live events we had some first runs so if you want to send us some prods outside the compo
(Invitation intros, Msx/Gfx-packs, Cracks/Trainers, Games, Pics, Tunes, Tools) just let us know.
