if you mean HSDCLONE then I know what you are talking about , in not so far future I plan to make something like that , but with more features , like support for stereosid , possibly also support for sidcard equipped 264 series and so on.

I even used that HSDCLONE + PC64 cable live with my toshiba tecra 510cdt at north party 10 :)

and.. actually I'll try to add HSDCLONE passtrough to version 0.3 ;-)

Simon White emailed with help concerning passthrough using libsidplay/resid... so... some sweet things may finally come :P

----
BTW better try HARDshit 0.2 too at HARDshit 0.2

Neato release! I did something similar some time ago. A HardSid-DLL-Clone which plays SIDData on a real C64 connected with a PC64 cable. How about using that for SID-Output on your plugin?

well.. I tried to search a bit for reSID and libsidplay libraries - unfortuantely adding support for simultaneous playback and monitoring would be much harder than I thought at first. resid is actually only SID emulation engine requiring at least additional 6502 emulation lib/code , and libsidplay is "all in one ready to play" library , not allowing muting and so on = just load the PSID/RSID file and play it - this actually would lead to write sth actiling like lite sidplay2/w player in DLL :)

if it's quite easily possible - I'll do pass-trough. But expect table with every single register listed sooner ;-) now I'm really busy so .. who knows when will I improve this DLL.

you may put it in system folder. personally I prefer putting hardsid.dll into programs' dirs. both ways give same result though , unless you are h4xxx000r and have more than one hardsid.dll file in your system ;)

currently it doesn't pass-throught the sound. it only displays what's written to SID.

sidplay/windows (not sidplay2/w - it requires special hardsid.dll for reason currently unknown to me) and acid64 are fully tested . Vice run with it (just ran sth with this DLL and it's okay) . CCS64 should . simply put the DLL in the directory with EXE files of mentioned programs.
