I can imagine how much you must have struggled with the picture. But WOW, the result is pretty stunning! The carpet immediately reminded me of Twin Peaks (see Dawn #1, I have pixelled a TP carpet there, too). I am awed by the part below the carpet, the flames that the eye sits on, it must have been hard to make them appear so natural. Very good work!

Thanks a lot for your reviews and your interest in this picture :) I´ve added some work stages to this release as you´ve asked for it. It was not an easy job, took almost 6 months and some 40 hours to finish this picture with a lot of different directions, I was searching the right feeling/mood to this. I wanted to do one more "eye"-picture as there has been a lot of beautiful ones already. I was not sure of the end result as I did not have any clear vision of what this might turn out to be, so I experimented quite a lot with different options. There was different phases like "Big brother" and "Fireball" etc. but in the end watching movie "Twin Peaks: Fire walk with me" was the inspiration that I found the most intriguing one. I really enjoy pixeling (it´s like mindfulness-process to do hours and hours of pixels :) ) and I hope that people who evaluate the end result also are entertained and enjoy what they see :)
