Just out of curiosity, which language was used for this? | User Comment Submitted by Bamse on 7 January 2014
Looking forward to "mess around" with this new release! Used CSAM3 a hundred times :) | User Comment Submitted by algorithm on 7 January 2014
Also if you are talking about codebook and lookuptable optimisation (instead of using the dithered image as source) this will be implemented in the compression studio that will be another module for the application | User Comment Submitted by algorithm on 7 January 2014
Kabuto. Absolutely. This will be implemented. Infact CSAM V3 had this option. It can work well for some images and faster encode as well due to lesser blocks | User Comment Submitted by Yogibear on 7 January 2014 User Comment Submitted by Kabuto on 7 January 2014
Great tool, might be handy for me, e.g. creating quick mockups!
It would be nice if 320x200 wasn't the only permitted image size, in order to apply it to a larger image I had to slice my test picture into chunks, make an AVI from that and feed that into CSAM Super.
Also, especially when using the C64 Convert Studio, one might be able to get better quality if the final quantization outcome was fed back into the codebook generator. In my tests it often generates chars that are more or less identical, wasting efficiency. | User Comment Submitted by Elder0010 on 7 January 2014 User Comment Submitted by Dr.j on 7 January 2014
I am about to try the tool one day. Thanks very much for this absolutely fine app. (i saw the vid on yt and it was impressive) you are the man ALGO ;-) | User Comment Submitted by chatGPZ on 7 January 2014
works fine in linuks w/ wine, if anyone cares :) | User Comment Submitted by Scarzix on 7 January 2014
I am very interested in trying it, as I think this is a very cool idea/tool indeed. But somehow I'm not even able to download it here. Guess I will have to try some other way around then. But thanks for fast reply. Thumbs up for your effort on the tool! | User Comment Submitted by algorithm on 7 January 2014
Also, the actual program (avi import) works by extracting data to the drive (which some virus heuristics would assume is a Trojan dropper) | User Comment Submitted by algorithm on 7 January 2014
Its a false alarm. Trust me. The EXE is packed via ASPACK | User Comment Submitted by Scarzix on 7 January 2014
Wondering why my Avast anti-virus scanner tells me that this is infected with Win32:Evo-gen ? | User Comment Submitted by algorithm on 7 January 2014
Linux version to come soon... | User Comment Submitted by algorithm on 7 January 2014
Finally Released. Enjoy the export options for direct running on C64. Please read the instruction manual first! |
