When using both side by side, it is especially annoying that the F keys have different functions.

Besides that, there are some real convenience features in Dolphin DOS. Some of which I don't want to miss:
- CTRL-K deletes all characters from cursor to end of line. It's very convenient, when editing BASIC lines and want to reuse a line, but don't need all if it.
- CTRL-DEL can remove characters which you can insert again with CBM-DEL.
- CTRL-D displays directory whenever the cursor is visible. Especially useful, if a program doesn't have its own directory routine, which is the case on some small tools.
- Default file names on LOAD and VERIFY. JiffyDOS only provides this when using SHIFT-RUN/STOP, and gives a missing file name error otherwise.
- Display of the loading start and end address.
- The drive status is automatically displayed after sending a command with @.
- Fast reset. Also available with SPACE-RESTORE, as long as the NMI vector wasn't changed.
- Minimonitor, which let's you brows, load and save. It doesn't work with RAM under ROM, though.

Pretty nice. Especailly the boot screen :) Can you maybe elaborate which functionality of Dolphin DOS is more convenient or enhanced/better than the JiffyDOS one ?

I know there are several revisions of the 1541 Dolphin DOS board, but non of them are supported by this patch.
This is not about a Dolphin DOS drive, but about the C64 kernal only.
It is intended for use with JiffyDOS or S-Jiffy drives.

When you speak about Dolphin DOS, you're not talking about Dolphin-Dos 3.0 right?
The version 3.0 has got in the disk drive a small mainboard with several microchips. see DolphinDOS 3 remake
