I like this one a lot more than Qi. It has more techy effects and eyecandy. That twister is just gorgeous!

Credit where credit's due - It was Kribust that came up with the name. And yes, we ofcourse had to use it before anyone else took it! So, the game is on, will there be more cool REU-names, or have we reached the top? ;)

I always like new demos and this is a new demo, FIREHAWK!!!... So I love it... you created a new demo... the ropes on the image with hands is super and also the nails on one image before... It is getting so tight that one can not say anything beside the pros... cool that you created this one and the twister with head (should have been a bit different aspect on the skull) ...and the rotating bars in the end is awesome...Music is cool but do not fit the demo in my mind.

Lovely demo! I don't know much about REU vs ordinary C64 in terms of CPU time, but if it is only more memory for graphic then some of these effects run by the same damn slow CPU in C64 is kinda incredible. But, I might be very-very wrong on this. :) Like the twister+spikebobs+endpart best. Think also the idea with the hands and colors could work better if the music had been more tailored to the Visuals. But overall, very nice and good impression from this! Cool demo! Cheers

Ran perfectly on my setup (assy250469...) with 1541u2 REU set at 512K (video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9BJvH9Z92uk ), and also the Commodore 1750 (512K)

I've modified and upgraded my 1750 so that it can be switched 1MB; when switched to 1MB I got a big bunch of glitches at where the spiky boobs part shouldve been, so I gather that's why Hedning had problems with the 1MB DAC REU as well. So, if anyone has problems running this with a 1541u2, set your REU size to 512K instead of , for example , 16MB , and you should be fine :)

Excellent work, guys! My favourites were the see-through twister (wow!) and the greetings at the end. The spiky boobs (oops, fREUdian slip) were great too, but they should have stayed on-screen for a while longer than they did.

Hihi, fREUd was my back-up idea for a concept if HCL hadn't gone for Treu Love. Will check the demo later but screenshots look very promising!

Awesome awesome awesome!! Many great effects in here :), however with a few disappointments also.. I start to hate the intro-screen already, we're used to much better color-cycling shit by now :). Also the fade in/out of those hands is very ugly, otherwise very good looking hands but.. :)

The twister is truly awesome!! God damn it!! and those unlimited bobs is one step further in the right direction :D. Also the end-screen leaves nothing left to wish for. Verynicethankyou!

Update: Works fine on real Commodore REU. The modern DAC REU have problems in some way. Great demo. Thanx!

Having problems running it on real HW with a Commodore 512kb REU. :O

Also tried it with my 1mb DAC REU (V.0.2.0). Then I had graphic glitches.

Hmm, no. The same on my 1541U2.

I just get a blue screen. Could it be that 1571 isn't supported?

Firehawk's routines and Joe's art are total kickass without any question. Linking and design are, unfortunately, total minimum. Pity that fabulous hand pictures which look like wonderful bastard of Joe and Sander aren't used in more creative way around the screen. It leaves me with truly mixed feelings. Still, deserved 9 from me ;)

i like the credits-scrollers-part ! But the spiky-balls-screen-mover is some kind of buggy @my vsp-stable C64 + 1541U, hmm ...

As with all REU enhanched demos that use REU-streaming (i.e. the twister), you need to use x64sc. Don't know why, but the x64 emulation of REU is just not correct.
Or you can use real HW, where it works :-)
