The regular asm-mode doesn't understand 6502 syntax (e.g. in opcode LDA $xxxx,Y the register part doesn't get highlighted), Acme commands or temp labels (those that start with a dot).
Besides that, acme-mode highlights immediate values in a different color from addresses and regular values.

I use Acme and Emacs exactly. I have been using the built-in asm mode for syntax highlighting my c64 files for years. So my question is what is different in this from the asm-mode?
