I have come across 1,000's of games on gb64 with the wrong date on games with a year out.
Some scener told some years ago it was because gb64 mentions the year when the game was mainly cracked in,which in this case it looks like 1984.
I know its odd and that is why i later on relied on csdb instead of gb64 for accurate date releases of games because of the fact that crackers obviously cracked the game as soon the game is released, most of the time.
So with 5 releases of 1984 altogether including the ali one i uploaded i thought it would be sufficient to insert this date of 1984.
But 1983 is probably the release date but you can't rely on it all the time,as crackers as you know alter the dates.
So in the end csdb is the best overall for accurate date information.

How do we know that the crack was done in 1984? Because GB64 mentions that the game was released in 1984? Actually GB64 is wrong here. The original game has an intro which mentions 1983.
Anyway, I don't think we should guess release dates based on release years of games.
