well, mostly cause boards only supported xmodem and punter...

Yeah, this was a great one. Big packets (GULP!) and faster transfer... but it's like VHS and Beta... CCGMS was everyone's thing almost.

aah, the big gulp! had a fast xfer protocol (better than punter), used it lots to trade with overseas groups.
