Seems one guy who posted a comment on

http://www.indieretronews.com/2017/12/international-karate-ulti..

claims to have found all 17 extra locations

The next version has DUAL SID and an improved 2-player unlimited mode.

As for the competition backgrounds, 1st when the competition is over.

Nobody has found the 17 other locations in this version yet (the 2 easter eggs)

Totally awesome! @Firehawk If you still have a C64 joystick get the Retro Adapter from http://www.wolfsoft.de/shop/ to play C64 games on the emulator.

so I finally played. great gfx as previously said, but... hey, I thought you added some new moves to the game, like a double roundhouse kick! :) ok, just pretending too much :)
I'm not promising anything but I'll prolly come with a different IK hack in the near future as I have an idea in my head. stay tuned.

We are planning a GFX and SID compo soon. The best entries will get a dedicated release.....

what bob said.
I love to see how the scene refurbishes the old games.
in this case it was so obvious to do new gfx for it that I feel ashamed I haven't got this idea earlier. just imagine...
- international karate europa edition - with, paris, berlin, barcelona, rome, well maybe even warsaw or gdansk ;)
- int karate russia edition ;)
- int karate US edition (San Fran, LA, Redmond ;) )
you get the idea.
And actually when I think of it I feel like I could do some of these locations for the next game.
anyway great release with awesome gfx.
I like china (beijing) and dubai the most.
but again - all of them are amazing.

The D64 version is already finished. Just delaying the release pending any reports if issues. It is level packed with about 100 blocks free. Loafong times for each level is about 3 seconds.

Awesome work, a solid 10 from me. Any chance to have a version to be played with standard real hardware? I know it should be probably split in two parts due to the backgrounds, but it would be cool anyway. :)
With "standard" hardware I mean a C64 and a 1541. Nothing more, nothing less ;)

I did play it but shame on me, the comment was on demo mode. All good then \o/

Enthusi. Download and play the game before you make comments of the demo screenshot.

Morphfrog. Answer Y to all the suppress questions and then Y to save preferences. Next time you start you will be straight in the game. If you don't see this you are not using a EasyFlash or an emulator that supports the eAPI (like 1541U2).

Very good work!, btw are no way to skip the need to answer on all trainer options and just start the game ?

Nice effort indeed but the text line at the bottom really ruins it for me aesthetically.

The suit colours are an option in the +15 trainer menu. Don't change if you prefer red and white or set to pink to fight in the "buff"

player colors are selectable, so its not an issue after all, sorries to the authors. O:-)

What Oswald said. London backdrop is my favourite. Good colour use.

awesome backgrounds, but colors on the players should have been left alone. black cancels out details, and cyan looks like a pijama + looks awful beside pink.
