Well I tried this out in Vice 1.22 and the "NTSC detect" didnt work (in both NTSC-M modes) on the intro. I'm guessing thats what PAL stands for in the bottom right corner ?!?! On further investigation, theres only a PAL sprite in memory and no NTSC.
