I received my SidBlaster the other day and here are my experiences with the device.

I plugged the audio cable into the blue "Line In" port on the back of my computer. I also had to plug the USB cable into a port on the back as well. If I used one of the USB ports on the front edge of the PC cabinet, the device wasn't detected. The docs say that USB hubs can be trouble, so I guess the front edge line is actually regarded as a USB hub.

In Windows 10, I ticked the "Listen to this device" check box in the properties of the "Line In" port and set the volume to 100%.

The DLL from the GitHub page worked with GoatTracker; it played my latest tune without problems. The same DLL crashed Sidplay2/w win32 v2.6 (Aug 6 2011) but the BETA driver on this page fixed that problem.

Sad. millions of Earth inhabitants are waiting for a working x64 driver for their HardSID units. I know you can work around it, but still I want it to work out of the box.

I am confused. Will this enable me to use my HardSID UPlay USB with win8? That is the only thing I want people to spend their time on. :P
