My comment was not about lowering the value of the game nor this special release. I just came along it some time ago and noticed the start routine being familiar. To be honest I did not get much further than just starting it because it is not the kind of game I enjoy to play. Dealing with compiled Basic or mixtures with ML can be painful on the technical side, so it is for sure a great gift for the people enjoying this kind of gameplay.

Caring about points in 2023 is hilarious, just have fun and release cool games like this one, and do a good job when you do, like Triad has here.

Didi: Who cares? A good game is a good game. You never played Pirates!? You are too focused on points and such shit it seems. ;)

There was quite some ML in the original to work with; track loader, data relocation procedures for text display, all code needed to be altered to make it run on NTSC. We have not investigated the exact percentage, we like the game and thus gave it a proper treatment. Most effort went into making the game single-filed by replacing the track loader, extracting hidden files on the disk and so on.

Cool game, who cares if it's compiled basic. At least it's not a type in game from Compute's Gazette or RUN.
