Fierman's story is not 100% true. Lemme explain what happened: since the game is called "back to the future" we in Fresh used our DeLorean time machine to travel into the future, obtain the original when it was wide spread, crack it, come back to the past and release it before the others! :)
Seriously: I remember that crack quite well, I don't think we cheated on the releasing date.

Scroller states 28/8 , but the game was in fact released/cracked 2 weeks later, in the second week of september. They just changed the date to claim a first release.

I knew it, I knew it...
This was indeed the firstrelease as we mentioned in the scroller (28.8.1990)!!!
The Ikari/Talent/TSM version is dated on 31.8.1990 while the Legend/NEI was released on 1.9.1990.
