Who said there was nothing left to crack? A true killer job, making the buggy Legend version obsolete for good.
I second iAN CooG: If it would not have been said, I prolly wouldn't have noticed some sprite animations missing without REU. And like many others nowadays, I got a 1541U which can emulate REU (next to my original REU, which seems to be a bit fucked up though). Well, 1541U can also emulate the original cart (which I also own), but neither of these can save the scores! ;-)
If the game would not just be so hard to play, and I'm not a bad player.

How much can a game be reworked before it's not a crack but a remake? :-)

Chapeau Chapeau! Jani, pretty well done.

Loving it, keep up the great work

Thanks Groepaz! There's two different versions of Track & Field (older and newer release). I wonder which one that is. I gotta check it out.

But I still want the "jewel" version of the new version of the Track & Field from N0S or Remember! I have a hazy memory that years ago I talked to Jack Alien he mentioned there are some bugs in game that need fixing.

I neighter usually don't comment cracks, but this is some serious quality crack here! Another one from N0S was Marble Madness Marble Madness +3DHRJ with all the additions. S!R seems to be "the" golden oldies cracker at moment. Big up from me, straight 10! I don't even play game like Toki, but I can feel the quality oozing in this release!

But most close to my heart is International Karate+ GOLD with nice nice improvements because it's a game I play! :)

Others nice stuff that comes to my mind are:
TNT's Paradroid Redux (http://www.sid.fi/~tnt/c64/paradroid/redux.html)
Onslaught's Maniac Mansion GOLD [neoram]
MagerValp's Gold versions of Ultima's

Now someone arrange S!R a original cassette/floppy (I wonder if there's any difference in them) of Track & Field and I WOULD BE VERY VERY VERY HAPPY! I even wrote about getting a "jewel" version of it in my lame blog sometime ago: http://vedos-sixtyfour.blogspot.com/2010/03/jewel-games-games-g..

It'd be nice to have it with highscore saver and maybe with lots of trainers and eg. levelskip (which of course would be disabled when highscore saver is enabled).

Nice work! I had the feeling this was in the pipeline after a comment on here about the other version not being NTSC fixed :-). Impressive work 10/10!

I was almost speechless seeing this release =)
Even not using the REU it's hardly noticeable the lack of some sprite animations. This is way beyond cracking, it's almost a complete rewrite.

MUSIC! Toki became playable. Which animations where left out in the non-REU version? Everything looks quite animated to me :).

excellent release. one of the few games that really needed a fresh crack. cool to read how much work went into it.

2 minor things, or this would've been uber perfect:

1. no collision cheat? wtf?!
2. reu required for total 100% of the game.

still, very very good work guys. I take my hat off to you

Wow! Oceans "uncrackable" cart is finally beaten - without excluding music or sfx and with a good loader. A stunning release, only comparable to the cart-version of Double Dragon, 6r6 cracked some years ago.
