Any hint how to save with the EF-crt on a 1541U2? If I erase the savegames as mentioned in the txt, the game does not start anymore/hangs after pressing new character in start menu. If I leave everything as it is, start a game, leave with 'q' and save, pressing save cart and entering a file name afterwards in the U-menu, the saved file does not store a savegame.

I would like to express my gratitude. This is a great accomplishment. I finished the game on the C64 without cheats, internet or any other support in the 80's. It was an extremely wonderful but frustrating waste of hours, and now I can relive this experience. This improved version is so true to the original that I don't dare to make any suggestions. However, I noticed after some research into versions on other platforms, that the Sega Master version features a much better combat system. Mainly, it allows ranged attacks to be placed on any target within sight, not just N, E, S, W. You can check it out in this speed run.
I realize that this would be a major change. It's the only thing missing from making the C64 version perfect IMO. Thanks again for your masterful work. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TcenLeBpJr4

Well i'm not the best in this kind of games, but i've really enjoyed the excellent bitmap graphics. Also i'm fascinated of the high quality of this extensive crack! It works perfect with my 1541 ultimate and yes - it starts with a cool intro! Thanks G-P for your great efforts! :)

Small update to fix the ending that I screwed up when preparing 2.2.
