Finally I was able to use it in a release. I created a little Roxette tribute as an example for Ultraflash-Noter V3.0 Featuring Live-(De)Crunching - it's included on the release disk.

Oooh yes. This is it. Queen of Rain by The Blue Ninja, a cover that I, ThunderBlade, asked him to do long time ago, as it was my very favourite song in the mid 90's and still is one of the very best of all time, I keep returning to it. And he, The Blue Ninja, did it on the C64 and SID... and by doing so, he did something that I am eternally grateful for.

I planned to use it in a very special release, which never made it to daylight though. The Blue Ninja kept the tune sealed for a long time until releasing it - thanks for that aswell, but I am glad that it is available for some time now to the world and all you SID lovers out there.

One of the greatest covers ever. I have known it for a long time already... With Queen of Rain, Roxette has made a song that nobody I knew liked much at first hearing. But now, after months and years, this becomes one of the tunes I would repeatedly hear, Thunderblade will agree. I have no idea where this magic comes from, but there is magic in this. It is so intensely melancholic and deep, but not helpless, still positive.
I had to laugh reading dalezys comment.

Just a wonderful tune, melancholic, feelingful, just what I need, to crawl into the bed and start to dream of better times... Thumbs up!

Oh yeah now I know where this "cover" is from :) Should have realized the typical Roxette signature.

Great tune! Really feels like good music that just happens on a C64, instead of merely a good C64 song. Peaceful, positive.

if it wasn't for somehow overused main theme, this would end up in my top 3 for sure. very emotional. dancing with tears in my ears.

Quoting dalezy
EDIT: i initially commented on the wrong tune. =)

Interesting, I did exactly the same thing this morning =)

I like this kind of melodic, slow stuff. Would be perfect for a contact note if I'd still swap :)

anyway, this cover isn't too bad either. the slow pace makes it lack energy though.
