Logo was made based on the logo that I created for Arcade a year ago - and used first in this Arcade intro: Oldskool Intro by Arcade
This was a tribute to Elko's amazing and unique style. The Arcade logo 100% drawn from scratch in PixCen by me, no copy. The Apace version is basically copied from the Arcade logo and I did a few adjustments to it.

I've added the CharPad 3.09 .ctm file which consists the 4x4 charset (can be used in ECM mode as well, since only 51 chars used). In the demo, you can find the scroll routine from $4b00 to $4bcc.

After almost 28 years I felt that, I need to try coding again. The motivation came 1 week ago when I created this new Apace logo. Yes, a new one since mid of 1994. :-D ...so, I looked around my old one-file demos and took one for reference. Saved in Vice 2.4 to a .vsf file, loaded the good old 'S-MON $C000' and started to do all the things you can see here. First, I exported the Apace logo from PixCen (actually, I ripped the .prg file I saved in PixCen, haha!:-D) and completely rewritten the sprite scroller. Now, at least 2-3 times faster than before. After that, I added a 5th sprite to it. Then, completely deleted the DYCP draw routine since the old one supported 32 chars only and I wanted to use numbers as well (now, 64 chars supported). I coded a completely new one from scratch, so this one is new, no reference used - okay, I know, it's not that big deal, there are much-much faster and better ones but anyways, I wanted to code a routine which is completely my code. ;-) After this, I took a relatively new (but so far, unused) 4x4 charset. I need to mention, only 51 different chars used, so could be used quite well for e.g. a 4k intro. ;-) ...and, I coded a scroller to it, of course, from scratch. Not the best one, not the fastest one but this is also mine and I'm soooooo happy to see my new coding working. Hope you also enjoy it - I wish you a Happy New Year with this little one-file demo! ;-)
