8 days to go, and no Zorro yet.

That is...understandable. ;-)
Also, the Zorro Main Theme is so incredibly complicated that no composer even dares touch it. :P

Still, should not be too difficult to come up with a version that is better than the original ! :D

Wile: I doubt it's because of Zorro, though.

Fitzpatrick's most tone-deaf piece ever,
even if we try our worst, it can't get much worse.
So count me in :D

I am so sorry, everyone. But I do think Dave is right. Time to do this classic epic tune justice.

For those of you that need some inspiration, please have a long listen to the original.

A long... looooooong listen. I mean, really looooooong.

Idea and concept, copied from the failed Rambo Revisited - SID Compo (2011) and Mr. Mouse (it's all your fault!): The Zorro tune by John A. Fitzpatrick, is loved (?) and hated by many for ages now. The option is easy: Make a new version. And to steal a lot of words from CreaMD:

Rules: Original _tunes_ (Zorro) used in Zorro (c) 1985 Datassoft is your inspiration and reference. You go anywhere from that. And I'm just as sure as CreaMD that you can come up with your own ideas. Anything goes.

SID:s should be executable C64 .PRG files. Use samples if you want. The executables will be released on fly (as they are submitted). Voting will be perfomed online while the compo lasts (and about week-two after the deadline).

Sumbit your tunes to: hedning64@gmail.com or/and add them directly to CSDB and this compo page.

I will also try to push them together in a Zorro music jukebox if possible. :P
