Very well done to the top 3! That order is spot on, I think.

Congratulations to Jason Page for winning the compo with "R-Type: Amiga to 2SID"! acrouzet came 2nd with "Seascape" and Hein ripped the 3rd place with "Canned Space Herring".

Many thanks to you all for participating with your excellent remixes! Cheers from Xiny6581 and Mikael <3 We might return with another compo if you ask for it.

Should definitely run this again! I don't do many conversions but I had fun with this.

Only a few hours before we close the doors! C'mon you can do it, yes you can :) And if not, who knows we might give this compo a second ride!

Less than a week to go – the compo ends at midnight on the 27th of February!

Yogibear: We didn’t want to flood the compo so all musicians had to carefully pick their tunes.

Why only 1 tune per participant?

For musical inspiration why not check out (again) what c0zmo did back in 2018...

RULES UPDATE:
-Due the time of the year we now accept multispeed and dualSID, to allow your creative notes to even blossom more.

How about multispeed ;) ?

Because we don't want to limit you creative SID maniacs, dualSID is welcome, as well. Go for it and make the *bonus* channels sparkle and shine.

User Comment
Submitted by TLF on 22 December 2022
So dual SID allowed? or 3 Channel only?

We welcome you to the first edition of this new compo!

RULES
You are allowed to submit ONE tune only.
Your remixed game music entry …
- comes from any games platform/console.
- must be recognizable from the original tune.
- uses either SID 6581 or 8580, single speed.
- has not been published before.
- can use a supporting image BUT keep it simple and do not distract the tune too much please.

DEADLINE
27 February 2023 – National Retro Day!

WINNER
Fame and glory to the tune with highest CSDb votes when the compo ends – 27 February 2023, 23.59 CET.

Have fun kids!
